Jin Shiya was exceptionally satisfied with this meal, to the point of feeling a little too full. She regretted that although she had eaten dishes prepared by famous chefs before, while the chef at this restaurant was skilled, his cooking wasn't exceptional compared to Michelin chefs. But she couldn't believe she had eaten so much to the point of being stuffed.

As a result, when she got into the car, Jin Shiya felt a bit embarrassed.

It was a silent ride back, and when they arrived at the company entrance, Jin Shiya was about to get out when she suddenly realized: not only did she fail to ask for his preferences, but she didn't even ask for his name.

Jin Shiya lowered her head in frustration, feeling like she had messed up.

But then the man suddenly called out to her, "Wait a moment."

Jin Shiya looked up.

She saw the man push his phone towards her. "Add me on WeChat."

"..."

Jin Shiya was once again puzzled. Was this man really a foreigner? Was he sure he wasn’t just a Chinese person in disguise?

(TN: hmmm...)

Nonetheless, she quickly took out her phone, scanned his QR code, thanked him, and then got out of the car and went upstairs.

Thinking about the fact that she now had his WeChat, Jin Shiya figured that it would be easy to keep in touch and even develop some future opportunities.

Just thinking about this made her step lighter.

While waiting for the elevator, Jin Shiya heard her phone ping. She opened it and saw a message from the man: Noland Harris.

Curious, she clicked on his profile. The profile picture was of a golden retriever smiling at the camera, with the ID: Noland, his own name.

(TN: of course, I won't let this chance to have a photo of this qt doggies in my post pass.)

WeChat Moments (newsfeed) only showed posts from the last six months, and she could only see a post from that day.

It was a photo he took before entering the restaurant at lunchtime, showing a shimmering white lake with the caption: "Having Chinese food for lunch today."

That was it—no details about the meal. Jin Shiya couldn’t help but laugh. Who could possibly tell what he ate for lunch from this post? Still, she clicked "like" on his post.

Liking a client’s post was a standard practice for excellent employees, and with a pleasant mood, Jin Shiya placed her phone in her bag and stepped onto the elevator, ready for the afternoon’s work.

Meanwhile, Noland was also looking at his phone.

In his Moments, there was a record of the like he received. The person who liked his post had a profile picture of a yellow flower—Jin Shiya, whose nickname had already been changed by Noland to "Both Stupid and Clumsy."

Had Jin Shiya known the nickname Noland had given her, she might have been angry for the rest of the day.

There was only one person in Noland’s WeChat contacts—Jin Shiya. His Moments was pretty much just that one post. He hadn't been in China before, so WeChat hadn't been useful to him. His parents and friends preferred making direct video calls, and they didn’t have group chats to casually chat in.

In fact, the only reason he registered for WeChat was to communicate with Jin Shiya.

Sherman turned around to glance at his boss and couldn’t resist asking, “Are you planning to pursue Miss Jin Shiya?”

Noland sneered, “What are you talking about? Do I look like I’m trying to pursue her?”

Sherman stayed silent. He thought Noland was showing every sign of wanting to pursue Jin Shiya, and his behavior was childish to the point of being ridiculous.

“She’s only 20, and she’s both stupid, clumsy, and naïve. How could I possibly be pursuing her?”

(TN: Tsun.)

His words didn’t quite match his actions, Sherman secretly thought. The benefits AIBO sent to RM were all at Noland’s request. For someone as wealthy as Noland, the small amount of money meant nothing, but Sherman had never seen Noland make decisions that would cause him to lose money for a woman with no direct benefit to him.

He was definitely pursuing her.

Sherman was certain of it.

(TN: ME TOO!)
