Back in the dorm, Jin Shiya quickly finished removing her makeup and washing up, but as soon as she lay down on her bed, she tossed and turned, her mind racing. Thoughts about potential female lead candidates, the possible success of the project, and the potential revenue it could bring to RM flooded her mind.
Then she remembered that the midterm exam was tomorrow, and if she didn’t get some sleep, she might not perform well. But her excitement couldn’t be suppressed, especially by Noland’s words, "At the same time, my resources will be open to you."
She wasn’t entirely sure about the extent of Noland’s influence, but just the fact that his company, AIBO Films, was a giant in the industry that RM had to look up to was enough. If AIBO Films was willing to share resources with RM, it would be a huge opportunity for the company.
The more she thought about it, the more excited she became, until she finally drifted off to sleep, her excitement only cooling down around midnight due to the fact that she was born in the year of the sheep.
The next day, when Jin Shiya woke up for the exam, she immediately felt something was off. She had made several mistakes and felt that her performance was subpar. She sighed as she left the exam hall, chatting with her roommate before heading to lunch. In the afternoon, with no more classes, she packed her things and headed to the office.
Upon arriving at the company, she found that everyone else was still on their lunch break. She took a seat at her desk and began organizing the documents Noland had sent her the previous day, along with the ones Sherman had provided.
Noland’s documents were straightforward, with minimal fluff. It was clear they were meant for upper management, containing only the key points, allowing supervisors to quickly understand what was going on. Sherman’s documents, on the other hand, were much more detailed, with a clear structure and handwritten notes on sticky tabs. It was a well-thought-out proposal that Jin Shiya couldn’t have put together herself.
The full English documents posed a bit of a challenge for her. While her English was good, specialized terms made it difficult to understand everything. Fortunately, Sherman had clarified the most important points during their previous conversation.
By the time noon passed, Jin Shiya had finished translating the documents and let out a sigh of relief as she looked at the completed files on her desk.
Liu Hong arrived early, and when she saw Jin Shiya working so diligently, she walked over, "Already working? What’s this?"
Jin Shiya smiled and opened the document. "Liu Jie, you’re just in time. I was about to send this to you."
Liu Hong immediately got interested when she saw the title. She leaned over Jin Shiya’s shoulder, taking the mouse and scrolling quickly through the document. After a couple of minutes, she straightened up and clicked her tongue in admiration, "A female lead newcomer for this lineup? No matter who gets it, it’s going to be a big hit."
Jin Shiya smiled slyly, "Liu Jie, do you have an interest in this project?"
Liu Hong thought about a few of the artists under her agency but sighed, "I am interested, but there’s no way we’re getting this. We just don’t have the clout."
Liu Hong knew RM’s position all too well. Even if they bet everything they had, they wouldn't be able to compete for that role.
But Jin Shiya grinned like a fox who had stolen a chicken, and seeing this, Liu Hong immediately asked, "Xiao Ya, do you have a way in?"
Jin Shiya just kept smiling calmly, and Liu Hong, sensing something was up, immediately began tickling her. The two burst into laughter, with Jin Shiya gasping for air as she begged, "Liu Jie, I give up, I give up!"
Liu Hong didn’t let up, "If you’ve given up, spill the beans!"
Jin Shiya finally calmed down, lowered her voice, and said to Liu Hong, "Liu Jie, we might actually be able to secure this female lead role. It’s through AIBO Film Studio’s connections. This document came directly from their headquarters."
She then patted the full English documents on her desk, a confident look on her face.
