They spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying various rides, and by noon, they had lunch at a castle in the center of the park. Although the table was set for four people, only the two of them were present, with a giant cartoon character plush sitting beside them.

To be honest, this lunch felt a little embarrassing for Noland. After all, he was a 29-year-old man. But Jin Shiya was clearly enjoying herself. Noland could see it: she even placed a small plush toy on her lap, eating faster than usual.

Perhaps Noland's gaze was too obvious because Jin Shiya glanced up at him and gave a very cute smile.

Noland chuckled. "Isn’t it fitting?"

"What?" Jin Shiya asked, confused.

"Being cute and you—very fitting."

Noland really knew how to flatter someone. Jin Shiya’s face instantly turned red. She thought, If he keeps saying things like this to me, what if I end up liking him?

She shook her head sharply. No, I won’t fall for him! I have my childhood friend, my crush. I've liked him for so long, there's no way I could fall for someone else.

After calming herself down, Jin Shiya finished lunch and spent the rest of the afternoon having fun. By 7 p.m., the sky had completely darkened. She figured it was time to say goodbye, but Noland stopped her.

"Where are you going? Don’t you know this theme park has fireworks at night?"

"I didn’t know that," Jin Shiya responded.

As soon as the words left her mouth, she saw the contemptuous look in Noland’s eyes.

Honestly, this man had an unmatched talent for hitting Jin Shiya’s nerve. If she ever got so angry that she passed out, it would definitely be because of him.

But given the situation, Noland was technically Jin Shiya’s mentor, and her two biggest projects at work depended on him. Jin Shiya had no choice but to suppress her anger and force a smile. "Are you inviting me to watch the fireworks?"

"Yes, are you stupid? You have to ask that?"

Before Jin Shiya could even be upset, Noland’s next move stunned her. He raised his hand and unzipped his jacket, then, in front of Jin Shiya, took it off. Before she could process what was happening, the jacket—still warm from Noland’s body—was draped over her shoulders.

Jin Shiya, still processing, muttered, "I’m not cold though."

"You’ll understand when it gets colder," Noland said, heading forward.

Jin Shiya didn’t quite understand what he meant, but she followed him, slipping her arms into the jacket.

Noland was tall and had a large frame, so even though his jacket looked slender and stylish on him, it hung loosely on Jin Shiya. It felt like a child wearing an adult’s clothes. However, the jacket was very warm, and Jin Shiya absentmindedly thought: Is Noland always this warm?

But Noland, now only in a white long-sleeve T-shirt, should have been the one feeling cold in the evening air. For some reason, Jin Shiya wasn’t sure what Noland was thinking, but she just followed him to the next ride.

Time flew by, and before long, it was already 8 p.m., with the fireworks show set to begin in less than half an hour. At that moment, Sherman walked over with someone. Jin Shiya thought they were coming to invite Noland to sit in the front row. But instead, Sherman said, "Sir, the park manager has informed us that someone wants to rent out the entire park tonight. After the fireworks, they may need to quickly evacuate the visitors."

Noland wore a knowing smile as he heard this.
