Noland was always very particular about his appearance, which Sherman was well aware of.

The outfits chosen by Olivia always perfectly matched his tastes and were very comfortable. That's why Noland never had to wonder what to wear in the morning or ask Sherman for his opinion on how his outfit looked.

Today was Sherman's first day as proprietor of the estate in Shangcheng, and he had been called out of bed by his boss early in the morning.

Without even sitting down, he saw two maids standing before him, each holding a set of clothes in one hand with other accessories laid out on a cart.

Both outfits had been selected by Olivia and were finely tailored according to all of Noland's preferences: neat, elegant, and exceptionally expensive. They were suitable for any occasion.

Yet here was their master, still clad in his nightclothes. He'd clearly not even bothered to comb his blonde hair after waking up, instead he was worrying over what to wear today.

Something like this had never happened with his boss before, and Sherman found it hard to believe.

“Sir, these outfits... aren’t they the same?” Sherman asked in a daze.

Noland glanced at him, and for some reason, Sherman felt that Noland’s look was filled with contempt.

“Olivia, let’s go with your suggestion. Although the lighter color will make me look younger, the darker one will be more dignified. I think the turquoise cufflinks would look great with the shirt.”

“A wise decision, sir. As it’s still quite cold in the morning. I recommend having a light-colored coat along with the outfit; it will complement the overall look.”

— What’s the difference between light gray and a slightly darker shade? The turquoise cufflinks do look nice though.

Sherman, a typical straight man, couldn’t understand what these two people were thinking as they chatted so happily about clothes.

What he couldn’t fathom the most was that both Noland and Olivia maintained a blank expression on their faces. Hey seemed so pleased, yet how did they manage to look so emotionless?

Sherman sat down a few seats away from Noland, silently processing everything. Soon, the maids brought him his breakfast.

Sure enough, it was a Chinese-style breakfast that his master liked. Although Noland was German, he was particularly fond of Chinese food. Back at the Harris family estate, Noland had even hired a team of Chinese chefs just for himself.

Upon arriving in China, Noland didn’t hold back and had Olivia hire topnotch kitchen staff in advance.

After all these years working for Noland, Sherman had developed a taste for Chinese food, and eating it posed no challenge for him.

After Noland finished his breakfast, he went to freshen up and change. Sherman quickly ate his breakfast while Olivia gave their master’s work plans for the day.

Normally, this work handover would take just half an hour, but half an hour has passed. By the time Nolan was ready to leave, Sherman still hadn’t completed the entire handover with Olivia. In the end, she just sent him all the details by email.

Sherman grabbed his work bag and followed his master out. As he did, he took a good look at him.

His master looks rather dashing today.

He had put extra effort into his appearance, even wearing a different cologne than usual. He appeared more composed and refined, and his usual sharp, overbearing demeanor was noticeably subdued—less arrogant than usual. Not to mention his clothes—his master looked more handsome than ever.

After they left, a young maid, who had only recently been hired, asked Olivia, “Miss Olivia, is the master going on a date today?”

Olivia answered, her expression as neutral as ever, “No, only a very important business meeting.”

The young maid opened her mouth, but hesitated before asking, “A business meeting… Does their master really need to dress so fancy?”
