Jin Shiya woke up early that day as well. She put on a professional outfit, carefully prepared for a long time after getting up.

After double-checking the overall project plan, she finally let out a sigh of relief, hurriedly had breakfast prepared by the housekeeper, and then left for work.

On the way, Jin Shiya checked the day's schedule with the assistant manager who picked her up, confirming everything was in order before relaxing.

Liu Hong, the general manager’s assistant, was a professional woman in her thirties with her hair tied into a neat high ponytail.

At first, she wasn’t very fond of Jin Shiya, the cherished daughter of the company’s president, but Jin Shiya worked hard and was diligent. After three months, Liu Hong had softened her attitude toward her.

Seeing Jin Shiya quietly sitting beside her, Liu Hong teased her,

“Don’t be too nervous. Don't be too nervous. The main focus today is on the general manager. You just have a small part. We've reviewed everything already. You're just there to fill out the team—don't panic.”

Their company’s general manager was an impressive person. At just twenty-five years old, from a humble background, he had risen to the position of general manager.

Not only was he outstanding in ability, but he was also good-looking, gentle, and had excellent character. He was still single, making him the dream man for all the single women in the company.

This man was also Jin Shiya’s senior, and their relationship in the workplace was quite good. Jin Shiya’s father had directly handed her over to the general manager to serve as his assistant.

However, being called an assistant was a bit of a misnomer;—she was being groomed to learn how to manage the company. Far from keeping secrets, the General Manager took his mentoring role seriously, genuinely invested in teaching her the ropes.

If it weren’t for the fact that Jin Shiya had a childhood friend she secretly admired, she might have ended up falling for the general manager herself.

In response to Liu Hong’s reassurance, Jin Shiya nodded,

“Thank you, Liu Jie. This is my first time handling such a big project, so I can’t calm down.”

(Note: Jie = Big sis)

Liu Hong nodded understandingly and didn’t blame her.

This project was indeed a huge deal. Their entertainment company had many popular artists, and while they were well-known domestically, they didn’t hold much weight internationally.

Somehow, they had struck it lucky and received a cooperation deal with AIBO Film Studios. Everyone knew how influential the backers of AIBO Film Studios were. The collaboration involved internationally renowned directors, actors, and the list of other companies involved was a who's who of the industry. Looking at the list, their company seemed like the least impressive one.

Today, the person in charge from AIBO Film Studios would come to sign the contract, and the entire company was on high alert for this major deal.

Not just Jin Shiya, even Liu Hong herself was very excited.

“Liu Jie, stop here for a moment, I’ll order coffee for us.”

Jin Shiya’s voice pulled Liu Hong from her thoughts. She quickly hit the brakes, and the car slowly stopped by the side of the road.

Liu Hong had the car almost hit the one parked ahead. She was left with a lingering sense of fear and patted her chest. She could see the car's make now—it was so expensive, even if she had to pay for it with all of her salary, she wouldn't be able to afford it.

Jin Shiya also realized that she had caused a small trouble, smiled apologetically at Liu Hong, opened the car door, and went to buy the coffee. One for the general manager, one for herself, one for Liu Jie, and some for the other girls in the secretarial room. Jin Shiya felt like she might not be able to carry everything.

While waiting in line, she noticed a rather unusual person ahead of her.

Though clearly a foreigner, the person spoke flawless, standard Mandarin with impressive fluency. He wore gold-rimmed glasses, his blonde hair meticulously styled… and was dressed in formal attire that looked like expensive custom-made clothes. Jin Shiya, as the only daughter of the Jin family conglomerate, certainly had a discerning eye.

But she couldn’t understand why such a person would be here buying coffee in a local cafe.

Then again, who am I to talk?
