The way the two of them whispered in each other's ears was too intimate, and neither of them realized that their actions were causing discomfort for the assistant and Jiang Shiyu sitting across from them.

"Jin Jie, are you two... a couple?"

The assistant, after dipping a corn crisp in the green sauce and feeling it became even more sour in her mouth, couldn't help but ask the question. As soon as the words left her mouth, she saw Jin Shiya's face instantly turn red. Noland glanced at her but said nothing, calmly continuing to eat his meal.

Jin Shiya stammered, unsure of how to respond. In reality, there was no romantic relationship between them, just a nominal mentor-mentee relationship. Noland, who had been breaking bread with his hands, put it down at that moment. He smiled, but the smile didn’t quite reach his eyes. He enjoyed seeing Jin Shiya in a state of confusion, but he didn’t appreciate Jiang Shiyu speaking in front of him. He had clearly noticed Jiang Shiyu trying to assert herself during the meeting earlier.

He wiped his hands with a warm towel and then turned to Jin Shiya, asking, "Are you done eating?"

Since Jin Shiya had stopped eating the moment the assistant asked, she nodded.

"Then let’s go," Noland said.

Jin Shiya hesitated slightly. "But there are still some things this afternoon."

Of course, Noland knew exactly what she was referring to—the female lead’s makeup test and trial shoot. With just a few words, he dismissed her concerns, "I’m closer to the filming location in the afternoon. You don’t need to stay here. The car can only be arranged through the hotel, which is not very convenient."

He glanced over at Sherman, who, as Noland's trusted confidant, immediately understood what was required.

"Miss Jin, don’t worry, I’ll arrange the vehicle for you this afternoon," Sherman assured her.

Jin Shiya politely thanked Sherman.

"Enjoy your meal."

The assistant, realizing she might have overstepped, nodded obediently. She watched as Jin Shiya followed the domineering man out of the room. After a moment, she turned to Jiang Shiyu and asked, "Did I say something wrong?"

Jiang Shiyu's plate remained untouched. She had a few outfits to wear in the coming days, and they required her to maintain her figure, so she wasn't eating much. She didn't bother responding to the assistant’s question and was more focused on the previous scene, which had conveyed a message: there was something off about the relationship between the mysterious man and Jin Shiya.

Jiang Shiyu gave a sweet smile. She was naturally very beautiful, and with the smile, her image in the assistant's mind immediately soared.

Her voice was soft, like the gentle touch of a feather, as she comforted the assistant, "You didn’t say anything wrong. Don’t worry, they are indeed a couple."

The assistant, relieved, then eagerly turned to gossip, "Who is that man? He looks really impressive."

Indeed, he was impressive, to the extent that with a single word, he could determine the female lead for the project.

"Yeah, he seems really impressive," Jiang Shiyu echoed with a couple of remarks.
