We are finally at Chapter 100!!! I can’t believe we’ve made it this far. We’re almost halfway through the story since I started translating TMLFDN last year—and honestly, it’s been such a fun and rewarding journey. There were challenges along the way, but every chapter brought something new and exciting. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who’s been reading, supporting, and cheering this on. Xie Jun called Xie Li out to the sunroom. There was a pot of red tea in front of him, the top-grade Da Hong Pao from Wuyi Mountain. Xie Li couldn't tell if it tasted good or bad, but it was indeed delicious.

Xie Jun called Xie Li not for any particular reason, just to discuss Xie Siqi's recent return from abroad. Xie Li looked at the tea cup in front of him, the tea leaves floating on top, and the dark tea stems lightly floating in the pale red tea, creating a picturesque scene.

The tea was delicious, but the conversation wasn't making Xie Li happy. He didn't really expect to hide anything from Xie Jun. Even though Xie Jun had handed over all the matters to his original body, it was impossible for this old man not to keep something for himself.

Knowing that Xie Siqi had returned through his own channels wasn't really surprising. But Xie Jun's tone didn't seem accusatory; instead, it carried a sense of shared despair.

Xie Jun blamed Shen Xiyue as he spoke. The "kid from the Ye family" referred to the boss of Nightfall. Since the boss of Nightfall was surnamed Ye, it made sense.

Although Xie Li felt it was inappropriate for his father to blame other girls for seducing his grandson and label them as indecent, he decided to go along with it for self-preservation, "You're right."

Seeing Xie Jun's reaction, Xie Li also felt a bit sad for the original owner.

Xie Li and Xie Jun's relationship wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly good either. After Xie Jun moved to the nursing home, Xie Li visited less frequently, while Jiang Yuying visited more. Later, the father and son sat there chatting. Xie Jun, surprisingly, was the least scoundrel-like among the three scoundrels of the Xie family. Xie Li couldn't help but feel deeply moved.

He only had his mother, Xie Li's mother, as a woman in his life. They had been childhood sweethearts, supporting each other through thick and thin, until his wife died and he became a widower. He never thought about pursuing a late-life romance or anything like that.

He only had one child, Xie Li, and he didn't bring any illegitimate children into the world.

Once he delegated authority, he would honestly delegate and not interfere anymore. Except for being selfish and self-serving, and being a bit ruthless in dealing with Shen Xiyue, compared to the original owner and Siqi, Xie Jun was practically a model citizen.

Xie Li respected him.

Although Xie Jun was somewhat biassed towards men over women, now that he only had Xie Siyun as his granddaughter, he didn't skimp on what he should give. The New Year's red envelope given by the wealthy family was simple and unpretentious. Xie Li saw that inside one of the red envelopes was a thin card.
